We've Moved in More Ways Than One

Hey y'all! It's been about 2 or so years since our last post (haha I almost lost my shit when I saw it!) That being said much has changed since. We moved to San Francisco (hence the lack of posting on this blog). With that change I started a new blog over at 19th & Happy. Because we were no longer small town living I thought it seemed fitting to switch sides so to speak.

Over at 19th & Happy I'm blogging about our lives here in SF, our recent ( or not so recent ) engagement/ coming up quickly wedding, and my now flourishing business Simply 1 Love.  We've grown so much since moving here and cannot thank you all enough for keeping up with the blog.

You all are amazing!!

YouTube: The Beauty of Making Yourself Known + 2 Tutorials

Wow I guess I tend to post once every few months or so don't I? Well now that I am back I might as well share some big news with you! I have just uploaded my first two videos on YouTube and it has definitely been a long time coming. I have wanted to share with you all how I achieve the looks I do, score awesome deals on the cheap & show y'all how I make a few of the items from my shop Simply 1 Love Accessories for awhile now but have been either too lazy or just haven't found enough time between my crazy schedule and almost non existent social life. On my channel I am going to post tutorials, tips and tricks, and all things DIY. So take a look, let me know what you think & have an awesome Sunday Funday.

Work It Out: Featuring N8 Designs

Today's post comes after two insanely hectic weeks. Sometimes life decides it wants to throw you a curve-ball and the last part of May just happened to be my time to make lemonade out of life's little lemons. But June is a new month and the start to a great summer and by great I mean a change for the better. Over the past few months I have had a constant struggle with keeping in shape and eating healthy, mainly sticking to routines in general. I have my great weeks and my not so great weeks. This summer is my time to relax and really stick to a plan (not only with eating healthier & working out, but also with my business, blog, and life in general). It's like my "half year's resolution" if that is even a thing lol.
Anyways today's post is all about "working it out". Last month I came across this awesome new clothing line called N8 Designs (HERE). I love how all their pieces are so versatile and go with almost everything. This look is all about comfort! On the daily I am either chasing after an almost 3 year old or working at a gymnastics & dance facility with little ones and therefor wear yoga pants almost 24/7. This outfit is so versatile and can go from running errands to working out in an instant.

Hope y'all have a great weekend!

Coachella Weekend 2 Outfit Inspiration featuring Simply 1 LoveAccessories

Boy does time fly! I feel like I just started blogging again and quite a few weeks have passed since I last posted. Anyway today's post comes just in time for the second week of Coachella. By the way I am SUPER jealous of all you lovelies that did/will enjoy the amazingness of this years festivities!!

Anyways I wanted to show you all a simple and very affordable look that works for just about everyone. I grabbed an black romper with a great crochet back detail, ankle boots and my favorite boho accessories to pull this look together. One of my favorite things about this outfit is my flower crown turned hat band by Simply 1 Love Accessories. It adds the perfect bohemian touch to an ordinarily plain outfit. You can check out the shop HERE.

Hope y'all have an awesome weekend even if you will be enjoying the festivities from afar like myself ;)

Candle Holder Gets Quick New Makeover

This past weekend I had some time to myself to clean up the house and organize some of my favorite spaces. Last year I posted about my jewelry display in A & I's room (found HERE) and loved the way it allowed me to easily display my favorite accessories. Since I have become a nanny my office outfits are virtually non existent and so are my jewelry wearing days. Therefore turning my favorite jewelry space into a catch all for magazines, papers and god knows what else. Once organized I decided to spruce up my favorite candle holder turned jewelry display, with one of my favorite colors...GOLD.

What You'll Need:
1 Tiered Candle Holder (Can be any color, I used my black one)
Paint Markers (I used a gold sharpie brand marker, but other colors and brands work as well)

To start off I took one of A's paint markers (I think it was sharpie brand?) and added dots to the top plates with the marker. I ended up not liking the dots, they were too random and cutesy (or as A said they looked like a clown party hahaha) I then proceeded to color in each plate entirely gold. Next I added dots to the bottom "legs" in a more uniform pattern. I let the whole thing dry for about 10-15 minutes and the whole project including drying time took just under an hour. I ended up with a chic, classic new addition to my jewelry display and it didn't cost me a penny. If gold dots aren't your style you can totally add tribal print designs, geometric patterns or even cool pastel painted hearts. Let your mind wander!

Coachella Outfit Inspiration Part 1 Featuring: Simply 1 Love Accessories

Like my last post I am extremely sorry for not posting in months (almost a year to be exact!Eeek) Life has been crazy and hectic filled with lots of love, joy, ups, downs and fun trips with my little fam! The boyfriend graduated from PGA school after 3 years in the golf business (yay!), went to Tahoe my 24th birthday, took a few trips to the always beautiful San Francisco, the man took me to my first 49ers game as well as my first Golden State Warriors game and we celebrated our friends wedding in Santa Barbara. I recently have been hired at a dance and gymnastics gym for children which I am incredibly thrilled about, am going to school taking my first ever business class all while growing my amazing little business Simply 1 Love Accessories. Throughout it all I have found myself a little along the way & cannot wait to add blogging again to the long list of life experiences.
Now on to the good stuff! Last weekend A and I as well as the pup headed out of town for a picnic lunch and an amazing drive. If you don't already know we live in the small town of Hollister, CA. About 40 miles south east of Hollister is Pinnacles National Park. The drive out there is absolutely amazing and provided for an amazing backdrop for these gorgeous photos. Since Coachella is fast approaching I thought I would start a series of festival inspired outfits that are easy and effortless to pull off. The first one (pictured below) is easy enough to throw together in a rush and is just as stylish as it is affordable. To top off the look I have added a Simply 1 Love original flower crown headband(found HERE) which is perfectly fitting for Coachella and all summer festivals this year.
Hope you all enjoy & stay tuned for more of Coachella outfit inspirations!

Dreaming of a Boho Summer

Wow first of all I want to say that I feel absolutely terrible about not blogging in about 3 or so months! That is absolutely not okay with me and I feel like I let y'all down. So much has happened in the last few months that I would love to share with you all but know there is not enough time in the day ( plus I know you all don't want to hear it haha). But I do want to say a big thank you to Casey Estorga for being a loyal reader of SMC and crackin down on me to get these posts coming on a regular basis. This one is for you!

Next off I am so excited to tell you about a few ventures I have gotten myself into. The first one is adding "Simply 1 Love" my handmade accessory line to Etsy. It has been a long time coming and I am thoroughly excited to share the launch of it with you. Secondly I would love to share with you all this amazing company I started with last month. It is called Nerium International and is the cure to fine lines, wrinkles, acne, sun spots & everything in between. I love helping people and am so happy that this little venture has fallen into my lap. You can find out more about the company at my website HERE. I  love making a better life for myself and I have found just the company for that. I am always open to answering any questions you might have so please feel free to contact me!

Lastly I wanted to introduce to you all my favorite jewelry line which is located out of Australia called The Sunday Market. They have the cutest bohemian jewelry & accessories and I just cannot get enough!! The Sunday Market also just introduced tie-dye maxi dresses recently and they are TO DIE FOR! You can check out all they have to offer on their Facebook page HERE (PS The Sunday Market is also launching their website this weekend to stay tuned!) I am looking forward to the launch like crazy!
